School Performance Highlights
Lincoln's students have traditionally scored at the top of the state according to state standardized assessments. The school has also met AYP ( Annual Yearly Progress mandated by the No Child Left Behind) by meeting requirements in all student subgroups including exceptional students, minority students and low socioeconomic students.
Our approach to preparing students for these tests is simple -we do not teach to the test, we teach the skills, above and beyond those tested by the FCAT, have high expectation of each student and develop curriculum that provides each child an opportunity to succeed. We believe that our students need to be prepared for global economy of the 21st century. FCAT tested skills are just a portion of those skills. Through our rigorous, relevant and child friendly curriculum tested skills are embedded in curriculum, generalized through application and practiced through integration.
